Non-destructive testing equipment

One of the most reliable and proven NDT methods is a radiographic test. This technology is widely used for detection of cracks in welded joints; detection of burnouts, cuts, spills; evaluation of seams concavity and so on. The main advantages of the method is a relatively low cost, simplicity, efficiency and documentation. It should be noted that in many cases it is allowed to test some objects only by means of radiographic tests. Therefore, so much attention is paid to the development of this NDT method. We offer the widest choice of equipment in Russia and consumables for radiographic testing:

  • X-ray crawlers (JME);
  • stationary and portable X-ray generators (ICM);
  • equipment for images processing (Optimax, Colenta, AGFA, ArgoScan);

One of the most sensitive elements of nuclear power plants is a steam turbine shaft experiencing high mechanical loads at high ambient temperatures. This contributes to occurrence and proliferation of fatigue cracks that can lead to catastrophic consequences. For timely detection of deterioration signs, it is necessary to carry out a scheduled inspection of turbine shafts by non-destructive ultrasonic testing. Ultrasonic ISONIC 2009 UPA Scope and ISONIC 2010 scanners with phased arrays are perfect for such testing. When using a standard control sensor, you will need 6–7 shifts for one shaft inspection. The utilization of phased arrays allows us to reduce this time to one shift. Other areas of scanners application are heat exchanger tubes welded joints testing, rods and flanged connections testing (from neck area and a flange).
